Stepping into the Tillotson Center's Gallery is like walking into an artist's oasis. Thanks to the talented artists and craftspeople of the Connecticut River Artisan Group (CRAG), the Gallery is always festooned with displays of original works.
Offerings can range from sketches to paintings, ceramics, photographs, and wood carvings all done by area people. The best part is that you don't just have to look at these works of art. You can take them home as well because they are for sale.
An important part of the Tillotson Center family, CRAG was formed in 2006 to create "opportunities for area artists and plays an important role in developing a creative economy in the north country." according to its website.
Now until October 7, 2017
Exhibit by CRAG member Jennifer Tetreault
"This is my first foray into paint, as my first artistic medium is photography. An artist needs to evoke emotion and give the audience a memorable experience, and I hope that my pieces will provide a meaningful journey for the viewer. My art displays bold color and a whimsy, and projects a fanciful mood. I hope my audience feels the freedom and magic that I feel as I create these pieces. Whereas photography depicts what is, paintings expresses what’s imagined."
Jennifer's photography has won numerous local awards.
The Gallery is open Wednesday 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and at all events.
