On Friday, February 10 from 5-7 p.m. there will be a reception to open Bette's exhibit. "Perhaps of all my artistic pursuits, photography has stayed with me the longest. Photography captures a moment in time, and each time you look at a particular photo, it evokes a memory. That is some pretty powerful stuff. The images I have in this exhibit are those that I wanted to tell a story about, and additionally to encourage people to go outside their comfort zones and explore. Whether it be around the state or around the world, there is beauty, culture, people and unique places to experience. The photos chosen depict an assortment of moods and places. In traveling, we learn that diversity in language, culture, landscapes, art and food actually brings us all together and enriches us as individuals. And in the end, we realize we are all basically the same, wanting the same things out of  life. "
